Vern O. Sebby
Vern Sebby is a co-founder of The Global Expansion Group LLC. He oversees the development and implementation of market-driven
global growth/location strategies for leading companies and with regional authorities around the world looking for direct
investment from North American companies. He brings broad industry experience, including significant work in
international
economic development, life sciences and industrial products including the transportation sector.
Prior to founding The Global Expansion Group, Llc, Vern was President and CEO of The British Midlands Development Corporation, focused on driving direct investment from US and Canadian companies into the United Kingdom. During his leadership the British Midlands worked with over 90 companies which generated over 5000 new UK based jobs in a 5 year period. Vern was also responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s first ever integrated marketing program which increased successful projects by over 400% and increased grant funding to client companies by 200%.
Prior to joining the British Midlands, Vern served as Vice President of Business Development at Medichem Life Sciences where he was part of the executive team that expanded operations globally, raised private funding and took the company public on the NASDAQ stock market. He began his career in the metal distribution business, serving as Vice President at Fullerton Industries and at JT Ryerson developing profitable consultative relationships with clients and supply chain partners across multiple industries.
Vern graduated from Lewis University with degrees in communications and business and continued his education at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He serves on the Industrial Roundtable of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and participates in a number of businesses, civic and charitable organizations in Chicago including the Executives Club, City Club, Economic Development Council, Chicago Council on Global Affairs and Chicago 2016.

Global Business Professional with more than 28 years of business experience. His business career includes extensive experience with
regional and local European bodies and well as sales and finance roles with a number of ICT and industrial companies. Prior to
co-founding the Global Expansion Group Llc, Jeff served as vice president of the eastern region, for the British Midlands Development
Corporation he was responsible for attracting North American investment into central England.
Prior to joining BMDC, Jeffrey was the treasurer and vice president of sales and marketing for Alliance Fabrication, Inc. and regional sales manager for TrueAdvantage.com, an online provider of sales information for companies seeking information about their prospective clients, their competitors, as well as information regarding emerging markets.
Jeffrey also held the position of vice president of sales and marketing for Brown Sales, Inc., an independent sales agency
specializing in the sale of engineered products to original equipment manufacturers and distributors.
